Notice of Closure and Transition Period

We wish to inform our patients, partners, and community that, after more than a decade of service, the shareholders of Stamford Medical have made the decision to proceed with the planned and orderly closure of our operations in Timor-Leste, following a defined transition period.

The closure will not take place immediately.

To ensure a smooth and responsible transition, Stamford Medical will continue operating during a ninety (90) day transition period, from 3 February 2026 through 4 May 2026.

During this time, our focus will be on supporting continuity of care, assisting with handovers where needed, and minimising disruption for our patients and partners. We remain fully committed to carrying this out with the same professionalism, integrity, and care that has guided us throughout.

This decision has been taken with careful consideration. While it marks the close of an important chapter for us, we are sincerely grateful to our patients, partners, colleagues, and community for the trust, partnership, and support you have shown Stamford Medical over the years. 

It has been a privilege to walk alongside you in care and service.
